蝴蝶蘭－又名蝶蘭
英文名稱：Phalaenopsis hybrida
科 ：蘭科
原產地 ：亞洲熱帶、如台灣、泰國
葉 ：湯匙肥厚闊。互疊在短莖上。
花 ：花形似蝴蝶，有白、黃、紅、紫、藍和雙色品種、可開數拾朵花，嬌艷奪目。10月至翌年6月為花期。
果 ：蒴果
特徵 ：花期長達二三個月，多用水苔包根種植，保水強。莖與葉子間長有氣根。除用水苔外，盆栽宜用多孔素燒盆、盆底多孔、選用苔蘚、木屑、姪石、樹皮、粘土、炭粒或碎桫欏等。蝴蝶蘭花色嬌柔，儀態萬千、風姿綽約，仿佛一群列隊而飛的蝴蝶慢舞中。
栽培 ：喜濕潤、半日照。常用桫欏板吊掛法或盆栽兩種。適溫16℃-30℃。
繁殖 ：種子。
