木本植物是指莖的木質部發達﹑支持力強﹑莖是木質莖。叫做木本植物。如木棉﹑玖瑰等。
木本植物又分灌木或喬木兩种。
灌木是指生長一般大的植物﹑如玫瑰花﹑茉莉花等
喬木是指生長高大的植物﹑如木棉﹑鳳凰木等。
木本植物生長年歲很長有百年樹木,千年樹木的。但近年發現50-60年代進入香港种植的台灣相思;壽命較短;只有50年多壽命。觀花木本;是街道常見的植物。觀賞它們於不同季節所變化出美麗的風貌。在我們附近﹑天天同我們淨化空氣﹑隔絕噪音﹑視覺美化﹑環境美化。我們多一分認識與瞭解。珍惜我們居住環境,保護我們的地球。
