原產地 : 中國、印度、地中海沿岸、長江以南。
葉 : 互生、橢圓形、黃綠色、與檸檬葉相似、革質。先端鈍、有時有凹缺。
花 : 總狀花序花小、白色、淺黃色、五瓣、與桔花相似。花期4-9月
果 : 果實大小如不一、金黃色。果期11-12月。
特徵 : 常綠灌木，高3-4米、樹枝上有刺、花朵芳香、果實如人掌。姿態奇特。有果實如拳，稱為佛拳。張開如指的。又叫開佛手。適合盆栽觀賞、或庭院、校園種植。葉、花、果可泡茶泡酒。有舒筋活血功效。果實可健脾、幹肝和胃、止嘔功效。
栽培 : 喜日照、濕潤、肥沃、排水良好的沙質泥土。適合25度-32度。
繁殖 : 嫁接、 扦插。
