葉 ：互生、單葉互生、羽狀全裂、裂片、披針形、有鋸齒、葉背具油腺點、強臭。
花 ：頂生頭狀花序、具長總梗、花梗中空、總苞鐘狀、舌狀花有長爪、邊緣有皺、花黃、橙黃色、花期秋天。
果 ：瘦果，黑色、冠毛淡黃色、果期10-12月。
特徵 ：多年生草本，高60－100cm、莖粗壯、直立、株形低矮、美觀、花朵金黃鮮艷、花期長、適合公園、庭院、校園、陽台放置觀賞。常用作切花用。對有毒氣味有一定抵抗性。如污染的廠礦種植。
栽培 ：喜日照、濕潤、疏鬆、排水良好泥土。適溫15℃－30℃。
繁殖 ：一般用種子、扦插法。
